The Good Shepherd (John 10:1-21)

East of Eden (Genesis 4)

Christ was and is THE seed of the woman who crushed the seed of the serpent and won our victory over sin and death.  He was and is the one who reconciled us to God through His offering up of himself.  He was and is the one who was banished, not for His sin but for our sin so we don’t have to be. 

The Fall (Genesis 3)

Adam and Eve rejected God. They rejected His Word. They rejected the relationship and fellowship not only with Him but with one another.  And for what?

At Last (Genesis 2:18-25)

There was something about Adam being alone and lacking fellowship that did not reflect God's goodness.  He had been given everything he needed to succeed except one, a companion.  And it was then that God met his need and created a woman.

The Covenant of Works (Genesis 2:4-17)

Without The Covenant of Works, we don’t understand the Fall; and if we don’t understand the Fall, we don’t understand our redemption.

God Rested (Genesis 2:1-3)

“What does God enjoy most about His Day?"  Being with His people on the Day He created for them, and knowing they are enjoying Him and the day that He has created for them.   

Form and Fullness - Genesis 1:3-31

The Lord made all things of nothing, by the word of His power, in the space of six days, and all very good.
This familiar passage shows how God formed His creation and filled it, culminating with man made in His image - the pinnacle of His creation. By looking to our origins, we begin to see what it truly means to be human: to love the God Whose image we bear and to fulfill His purposes in His world.

Beginnings (Genesis 1:1-2)

Every good story starts with a good opening line. The Bible tells the best story ever, and begins with an opening line that sets the stage for everything else to come: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The first two verses of Genesis teach us about who God is and give us assurances of His power and His love.
